What is the "Scheduler 3 the Scriptable"

"Scheduler 3. The Scriptable" is a tool that allows you to schedule your own scripts to call various system functions.

Many of functions can be combined within one task.

With "Scheduler 3" you can schedule tasks that run unattended on specific dates and times or at periodic intervals. System actions to be executed described by the task as script that looks like JavaScript. Besides, a task has a set of additional attributes like restrictions, priority etc.

The script itself is a sequence of variables declarations and function calls. Each function belongs to one of of the plugins connected to Scheduler and performs specific action such as execute applications, creating folders, deleting files, sending email or ICQ message, reminding etc. See the list of available plugins on page "Plugins".

It allows to perform various frequently used tasks such as data archiving, nightly disk defragmenting, regular automatic database backup etc. See some examples for typical scenarios on page "Script examples".

The functionality of Scheduler 3 is not limited by existing functions. It is extended by plugins. Currently, Scheduler has 17 common functions. There are new plug-ins coming soon which can be easily connected to Scheduler.

Currently Scheduler3 includes following groups of functions:

• Calendar functions
• Create application process (Launching application)
• Create direcory
• Reminder
• Computer power off
• Sending EMail (with or without attachment)
• Cleaning folders

Besides, you can find additional plugins on page Plugins (they are availavle for registered version of Scheduler 3). This list will grow up as new plugins has created.
